9th Annual Ryan White CARE Act Clinical Conference

Overview

The 9th Annual Clinical Conference for Ryan White CARE Act (RWCA) Title I, II, III, and IV practitioners will be held in conjunction with the 2006 RWCA Grantee Meeting from August 28-30, 2006 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC.

The goal of the Clinical Conference is to provide a comprehensive overview of current clinical issues in HIV management and current strategies, and to provide essential updates and training for clinical staff that are prescribers (physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other direct clinical care practitioners), and are actively involved in HIV care in RWCA-funded clinics. The Clinical Conference also offers new grantees the valuable opportunity to discuss cases with experts, and network with other RWCA clinicians. This state-of-the-art Continuing Medical Education (CME) program will include 2.5 days of lectures and interactive workshops. This CME conference is sponsored by the International AIDS Society–USA (IAS–USA).

The Clinical Conference is co-chaired by Laura W. Cheever, MD, ScM; Michael S. Saag, MD; and Donna E. Sweet, MD. The Clinical Update Conference is planned and supported in collaboration with staff from the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This activity has been approved for AMA PRA credit.
