Planning is Key to Prevention: PSA's Continued Work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Since 1987 PSA has provided excellent service to the CDC. This month, we have been awarded 8 task orders to provide meeting planning, logistics, and travel services in support of CDC programs:
  • PSA will be providing turn-key meeting support services to two meetings of the CDC's Medical Monitoring Project (MMP). These will be annual meetings of the MMP's Community Advisory Board (CAB) and Provider Advisory Board (PAB). These meetings offer a critical forum where the community can provide feedback to the CDC on the needs, challenges, and successes in HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD, and TB prevention efforts throughout the nation. The meetings will be held in September or October of 2010.
  • In October 2010, PSA will also be coordinating the CDC's Influenza Animal-Human Interface Meeting. This meeting will involve CDC officials, domestic partners, and representatives from Bangladesh, Vietnam, Nigeria, Kenya, Italy, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Australia. The meeting will focus on increasing communication, coordination, and planning among the partners to enhance the ability to respond to potential or confirmed human novel influenza A infection.
